Drawing Down the Moon

Greetings and Salutations!

As most of you know, the Sun and Moon tour was named after the rough outline of the two halves of our tour route. So on December 14th, the "Sun" tour will be coming to an end as we fly from Rome to NY. And the "Moon" tour is scheduled to start in mid-January after 2 weeks in NY and 2 weeks in LA.

Well after much thought, soul searching and discussion, we have decided to postpone the Moon tour indefinitely. (Yes, yes, I know we are totally screwing up some of you who are living vicariously through us and were looking forward to virtually going to Australia or China. ;-) We both still very much want to go to all of the places in the Moon tour plan. However Jeff, having never been away from home for more than a month prior to this, is getting pretty home sick and missing family and friends. And I am simply getting tired. Traveling takes a lot out of you. Six months in India and Africa had me pretty tired as well back in 1994, but I had always thought that it was a function of being in the third world for so long. Now I realize that, for me anyway, 6 months is about my upper limit on non-stop travel.

We have also found that going home in December has put a new perspective on our travels. We were starting to get into the attitude of "yeah, yeah, this is the 20th castle we've seen this month". Now with only 6 weeks left to travel, we have been reinvigorated and can think more on the lines of "wow, this is the 3rd to the last castle we'll see on this trip". :-D

We certainly won't be going back to work any time soon... that would just be wrong! But we are looking forward to being back home and stable for a while. So, we'll see you all very soon!

Love and Light,
Adrienne & Jeff
